Advanced Word (Docx) Exporter for Confluence
Advanced Word (Docx) Exporter for Confluence allows you to convert Confluence pages into professional Word documents with a single click. Whether you need to create offline documentation, share content with external stakeholders, or generate reports for compliance purposes, this app can help you create compelling Word documents.
This guide will walk you through installing the app and using it to export your Confluence pages.
Why .docx format?
Confluence's built-in export feature only supports the legacy .doc format (Word 97-2003), which has significant limitations:
Outdated format - .doc files are from 1997 and not optimized for modern workflows
Compatibility issues - Limited support in newer versions of Word and other editors
Missing features - Poor rendering of modern Confluence elements like roadmaps, panels, and complex tables
File size - Larger file sizes compared to modern .docx format
Advanced Word (Docx) Exporter offers:
✓ Modern .docx format - Industry-standard format compatible with Word 2007 and later
✓ Better formatting preservation - Maintains your page structure, colors, and styles
✓ Smaller file sizes - Efficient compression for easier sharing
✓ Universal compatibility - Opens in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice, and more
